Ms. Naimoli, is a Captain in the USAF. Ms. Naimoli is stationed at the 377th Medical Group, Kirtland AFB as a nurse practitioner. Prior to joining the Air Force, Ms. Naimoli was a nurse practitioner (and nurse) at the NM VA Healthcare System. Driven by her deep interests in improving health and welfare in Albuquerque, Captain Naimoli is committed to advocate on behalf of the service members at large and ABQ veterans. Ms Naimoli brings a wealth of knowledge from her prior experiences working with other community organizations such as the Indian Health Service (Gallup Service Unit; emergency room) and Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan (psychiatric crisis team). Ms. Naimoli has a master's degree in psychology from St. John's University, a master's degree in nursing from University of Illinois at Chicago and a post-master's in family nurse practitioner from Vanderbilt University. She completed her residency in primary care at Duke University/Durham VA Medical Center, where she also co-published the article "Meeting the Complex Healthcare Needs of Veterans" in The Nurse Practitioner (2022).

 

A resident of Council District 4, Ms. Vanessa M. Naimoli will serve the remainder of an unexpired term as an At-Large member on the Board; her first term will expire on September 2, 2026.
