I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the

Human Rights Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 11-3-4-1 through

11-3-6.

Ms. Beverly McMillan                                                                         December 31, 2023  Albuquerque, NM 87106    Ms. McMillan took on the role as the Marketing and Fundraising Chair for Albuquerque Family Advocacy Center in 2017 under United Way of Central New Mexico. The Family Advocacy Center partnership was a collaborative community project that stood up a location for clients who had suffered at the hands of interpersonal violence to receive services under one roof. A "one stop shop" model. Bev works in tandem with the service providers of the Family Advocacy Center to ensure that supplies, essentials, and optional services are in place for the clients who engage with the organization.  Bev has utilized her time well within the Albuquerque area serving on various boards to ensure the "giving back" to the community was an ever-important attribute she received from parental teachings. Service on boards such as The Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Central New Mexico, Haven House Domestic Violence Shelter, Lovelace Women's Hospital and Trustee for the Albuquerque Community Foundation.  A resident of Council District 6, Ms. McMillan will serve as an At Large representative on the  Board, and her first term will expire December 31, 2023.
