Mr. Kevin D. Helfert is a passionate and motivated IT professional with a strong interest in advancing New Mexico’s broadband infrastructure. He grew up in the East Mountains and earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from New Mexico Tech. He began his career at Sandia National Laboratories, where he has achieved notable success in the field. Throughout his time in New Mexico, Mr. Helfert has both relied on and navigated challenges with multiple internet service providers, including CenturyLink in Cedar Crest and Socorro, Today Technologies in Socorro, and Xfinity in Albuquerque. He has also worked with carrier companies such as Cogent, Lobo Internet, and Lumen within datacenter environments, giving him practical, hands-on experience across the telecommunications landscape. |
