Mr. Jacob Thomas is a freshman at Albuquerque Academy. He is a kind and thoughtful young man. Even at his school he presented a poster regarding the Children's Grief Center in Albuquerque as part of Community service at his school. Later in the year he took an initiative to visit the Grief center with his mother to better understand how the center worked and provided critical services for children in need. He is also part of the Speech and Debate team and he is able to clearly and effectively articulate his ideas. He won 2nd place in the interschool debate on policy. He has great interpersonal skills and can connect with people of different backgrounds and help them feel at ease. He has a sense of service and even in elementary and middle school he has been engaged in several community service endeavors. |

A resident of District 9, Mr. Jacob Thomas will fill a vacancy and serve as an At Large Representative on the Council; his first term will expire on May 1, 2027. |
