Commission on American Indian and Alaska Native Affairs in accordance with the City

Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-6-1.

Kimberly Gleason is a Diné Director for stage and film, an actor, a cellist and a proud Mother. She's been active in the local theater, film and television community for over 25 years, where she advocates and promotes Native American performing and cinematic arts in New Mexico. She studied music and theater professionally at the University of New Mexico (2005) and most recently graduated with her EMBA from Anderson's School of Management (2022). Since 2009, Kim has been the Executive Director for Two Worlds, a Native American theater and performing arts organization producing full-stage productions, staged readings, short films and collaboration projects. In addition, Ms. Gleason is also a Co-Founder for Native Women Lead, Vice-President for the UNM Native Alumni Association, and will be working with the accounting department for AMC's "Dark Winds", Season 2 this year. Ms. Gleason has served with the Commission on American Indian and Alaska Native Affairs since 2020 and is pursuing her goal to open up the first Native American performing arts center in Albuquerque, NM in 2025.

 

A non-city resident, Ms. Kim Gleason will be appointed on the Commission and serve as the at large representative; her term will expire on October 1, 2026.
