Mayor's appointment of Mr. Johnny I. Mangu to the Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 4-4-13.
Mr. Johnny I. Mangu August 1, 2028

Mr. Mangu is a driven, mature, and dynamic professional with management experience, including overseeing operations for a 43-room hotel. Through his work, he has developed strong skills in budgeting, operations, customer service, and working with stakeholders in fast-paced and deadline-driven environments.
Mr. Mangu brings experience working with professionals at many levels. He is also passionate about improving efficiency and finding ways to create more value with available resources. Mr. Mangu has expressed a strong desire to give back to the community and support the mission of the Lodgers’ Tax program by helping ensure funds are managed responsibly and in the best interest of Albuquerque residents, businesses, and visitors.
A resident of Council District 8, Mr. Mangu, will replace Ms. Skye Morris Devore and serve as a Tourist Related Industry Professional; his first term will expire on August 1, 2028.
