ADJUSTING FISCAL YEAR 2027 APPROPRIATIONS FOR CERTAIN FUNDS AND PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE FOR ACTUAL EXPENDITURES AND BUDGET RECONCILIATION CORRECTIONS.
WHEREAS, appropriations for the operation of the City government must be approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, during preparation of the Fiscal Year 2027 Committee Substitute operating budget reconciliation schedules, certain non-recurring appropriations directed during the Committee of the Whole process were inadvertently not carried forward from working budget schedules into the final reconciliation table used to calculate adopted appropriations; and
WHEREAS, the omission resulted in the adopted Fiscal Year 2027 budget (C/S R-26-17) not fully reflecting the intended non-recurring appropriations; and
WHEREAS, adjustments to the adopted Fiscal Year 2027 budget (C/S R-26-17) are necessary to reconcile the adopted appropriations with the intended Committee Substitute funding levels; and
WHEREAS, fund balance and available reserves are available to support the appropriation adjustments contained herein.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
SECTION 1. That the following amounts are hereby adjusted for Fiscal Year 2027:
GENERAL FUND - 110
City Support Department
Early Retirement (150,000)
Council Services Department
Council Services 185,000
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, word or phrase of this Resolution is for any reason held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution. The Council hereby declares that it would have passed this Resolution and each section, paragraph, sentence, clause, word or phrase thereof irrespective of any provision being declared unconstitutional or otherwise invalid.
