ADJUSTING APPROPRIATIONS IN C/S R-26-17, THE FISCAL YEAR 2027 OPERATING BUDGET TO REVISE FUNDING FOR POSITIONS IN THE TRANSIT DEPARTMENT AND VEHICLES FOR THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, appropriations for the operation of the City government must be approved by the City Council; and

WHEREAS, during preparation of the Committee Substitute for the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget, certain transfer appropriations were inadvertently omitted from the legislation; and

WHEREAS, the omissions resulted in the adopted Fiscal Year 2027 Budget (C/S R-26-17) not fully reflecting the intended appropriations; and

WHEREAS, adjustments to the adopted Fiscal Year 2027 Budget (C/S R-26-17) are necessary to reconcile the adopted appropriations with the intended funding levels.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:

SECTION 1. That the following amounts are hereby adjusted for Fiscal Year 2027:

Transit Operating Fund-(661)

Transit Department

ABQ Ride                                                                                                                                                    680,000

Transfer to Other Funds

General Fund (110)                                                                                                         (680,000)

 SECTION 2. That the Planning Department shall create an activity number for the following appropriation which is hereby made to the Capital Program to the specific funds and new projects as indicated below for Fiscal Year 2027:

The scope of this project is to purchase vehicles for Code Enforcement Officers only to ensure the safety and general welfare of the public.

SECITON 3. SEVERABILITY. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, word or phrase of this Resolution is for any reason held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution. The Council hereby declares that it would have passed this Resolution and each section, paragraph, sentence, clause, word or phrase thereof irrespective of any provision being declared unconstitutional or otherwise invalid.
