Ms. Christine Glidden July 31, 2026 6105 Carousal Avenue NW Albuquerque, NM 87120-2152 Ms. Christine Glidden is a long time Albuquerque resident/advocate and has served on numerous State of NM boards and commissions, several CABQ boards, on the Trustee Board of UNM Hospitals as a County Commission appointee, and as an Honorary Commander at KAFB. She is an experienced and enthusiastic member of her community. As a champion triathlete, Christine is familiar with sport groups and with the fields, trails, and goal posts throughout the city. She and her husband raised a daughter in Albuquerque who went on to become a full scholarship athlete in track. Jenna and Christine trained on the Sandia Mountain to successfully summit Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2012. Christine is an active member of Rotary and during COVID coordinated various groups of local volunteers including KAFB airmen to sort, pack and distribute 35 tons of food, water, and supplies to 4 NM Pueblos and primarily, the NM Navajo Nation. This was accomplished with grants from the ABQ. Community Foundation and Rotary International for a total of $57,000 not including the truckloads of goods donated to the cause. With her experience with boards and volunteer work and as a solid member of her neighborhood, Christine brings organizational skills, leadership, and gratitude to her appointed positions. She says that although she was not born in NM, she was born to die here. Her love of this place called home means she wants to see it thrive and she isn’t leaving. There is not a better knowledgeable, hardworking advocate for this City than Christine Glidden. Ms. Christine Glidden is being reappointed to serve on the Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees, she resides in District 5 and her term will end July 31, 2026. |
