Maisie Creelman brings both lived experience and professional expertise to her appointment to the Affordable Housing Board. As an individual with a disability who has served as her own advocate and continues to advocate for others, she offers an informed and deeply personal perspective on accessibility, inclusion, and equitable access to housing. Her commitment to strengthening the community and ensuring that individuals with disabilities have a meaningful voice aligns strongly with the Board’s mission. Ms. Creelman currently works with the Independent Living Resource Center, where she provides individual and systems advocacy, independent living skills training, peer counseling, and transition support for individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Mexico and is a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Her professional background, combined with her passion for making Albuquerque more inclusive and accessible, makes her a strong advocate for residents with disabilities as the Board advances affordable housing solutions.

A resident of Council District 6, Ms. Maisie J. M. Creelman will fill a vacancy and serve as the Housing for People with Disabilities representative on the Committee; her first term will expire June 1, 2027.
