I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for reappointment to the Joint
Air Quality Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 9-5-1-3.

Dr. Joseph Galewsky is a professor of atmospheric sciences in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of New Mexico. He holds a B.S. in Geophysics from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of California Santa Cruz. He has over 20 years of experience in the analysis and modeling of atmospheric transport phenomena on scales ranging from airflow over mountainous terrain to hemispheric transport processes. He has been on the faculty at UNM for 19 years and is a resident of Albuquerque's North Valley, where he lives with his wife and two children.
A resident of Council District 2, Dr. Galewsky will continue to serve as a City of Albuquerque representative on the Board; his second term will expire on April 1, 2029.
