I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Personnel Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 3-1-4.

John R. Castillo is a native of New Mexico. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He has over 30 years of governmental experience, including being appointed the Director of the Development Services Department for the City of Rio Rancho and the Director of the Municipal Development Department for the City of Albuquerque.
A resident of Council District 5, Mr. Castillo will serve as a Management representative on the Board, replacing Mr. Christopher A. Holland, and his first term will expire September 1, 2020.
