Elizabeth Miránda Reitzel, an associate attorney practicing law at Miller Stratvert, P.A., graduated with a juris doctorate degree from the University of New Mexico in 2016. Ms. Reitzel also completed the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Certificate through the University of New Mexico's Natural Resources Program. During law school Ms. Reitzel worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Land Grant Studies Program and The Utton Transboundary Resources Center. Ms. Reitzel's course work and work experience during law school provided her with a strong working knowledge of New Mexico's environmental and natural resource legal frameworks, including both the federal and state clean air regulatory schemes.

Between 2016 and 2018 Ms. Reitzel worked as a field representative for former Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham. In this position she engaged and interacted with various communities, organizations and agencies across New Mexico regarding topics such as public utilities, natural resources, agriculture, tribal issues and civil rights. In her current position as an associate attorney, she works with many clients facing complex legal issues related to land management and land acquisitions. Ms. Reitzel serves clients that must appear before regulatory agencies as well as before state and federal judicial bodies.

A resident of Council District 4, Ms. Reitzel will serve as a City of Albuquerque representative on the Board replacing Mr. Matthew Wylie whose term has expired.  Ms. Reitzel’s first term will expire April 1, 2023.
