Mrs. Marijo J. Rymer Albuquerque, NM 87120

June 1, 2028

Marijo Rymer returned to Albuquerque in 2018 after retiring as Executive Director of The Arc of Colorado. Her career includes leadership roles in nonprofit management, public policy, and communications, including service with The Mental Health Center of Denver and American Medical Response. She has long championed access to services and systems reform, including leading Colorado’s Amendment 51 campaign to eliminate the waitlist for disability services. In New Mexico, Mrs. Rymer has served as Director of Public Information and Legislative Liaison for Albuquerque Public Schools, Finance Director for the Pete V. Domenici U.S. Senate campaign, and Chief Assistant to Mayor Harry E. Kinney. She currently serves on the Board of Disability Rights New Mexico and the ARC U.S. Alumni Board. Her extensive experience in advocacy and public service makes her a strong and thoughtful voice for seniors as she joins the Affordable Housing Committee as Senior Citizen Advocate.

A resident of Council District 1, Mrs. Marijo Rymer will fill a vacancy and serve as the Senior Citizen Advocate representative on the Committee; her first term will expire June 1, 2028.
