Pilar is a small business owner and community leader who has operated Zendo Coffee in downtown Albuquerque for over 13 years and became the owner of Sidetrack Brewing Company in 2025. She is deeply committed to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces that support both customers and employees. Through her work, she brings firsthand experience navigating the challenges facing local businesses, including public safety and economic sustainability. Pilar holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico and was recognized as the 2025 SBA New Mexico Woman-Owned Business of the Year. She is eager to contribute her perspective to support the growth and vitality of Albuquerque's neighborhoods and small business community.
Pilar will fill a vacancy and serve a partial term as one of the Business Representatives on the Board; her partial term will expire on April 15, 2027.
