Mayor's re-appointment of Dr. Jonathan Wolfe to the Balloon Museum Board of Trustees

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Balloon
Museum Board of Trustees in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 10-4-5-1.

Jonathan Wolfe is a New Mexico native who attended Escuela del Sol, Monte Vista Elementary, and Albuquerque Academy. He earned his bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in visual neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania before returning to Albuquerque to pursue hot air ballooning.
A scientist, artist, educator, and entrepreneur, Dr. Wolfe founded the Fractal Foundation in 2003 to inspire interest in science, mathematics, and art. He created the award-winning planetarium program First Friday Fractals, in partnership with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, which has sold out more than 500 times.
He is also the creator and pilot of the Flying Fractals hot air balloons-high-resolution art balloons featuring mathematical imagery that have become iconic symbols of Albuquerque and reflect its growing reputation as the "Fractal Capital of the World."
A resident of Council District 6, Dr. Wolfe, will be reappointed to serve as the Council District 6 representative on the board; his second term will expire on July 31, 2029.
