Alexis Tappan is a Partner in the 2540 Group and brings extensive experience in communications, marketing, media relations, and community outreach. Her prior roles include Vice President of Public Relations at Rick Johnson & Company Advertising and Director of Marketing and Special Assistant to the President at Central New Mexico Community College. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications and a master's degree in organization, information, and learning sciences, both from the University of New Mexico. She currently serves on the board of Explora Science Museum and as Chair of the Albuquerque Economic Forum.
Alexis is interested in serving on the Indicators Progress Commission because of its important role in helping the City of Albuquerque measure progress on key community priorities and long-term sustainability goals. She values the Commission's work in tracking indicators that guide decision-making and accountability and looks forward to contributing her communications and community engagement experience to support meaningful evaluation of Albuquerque's progress and community well-being.

Alexis will fill a vacancy and serve as an At-Large representative on the Commission; her first partial term will expire December 31, 2026.
