Lucy Binnert is a sophomore at Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School. She is passionate about social justice and equity, and would like to help make a better future for all Buquer?os. She can't vote yet, but she can still find other ways to make an impact. She is currently in her school's competition class for We the People, and she enjoys learning about the inner workings of government, and how to better society as a whole. Learning about philosophy, common good, and individual rights are all of great interest to her. Outside of school, she is passionate about dance and art. Through dance she helps her communities by mentoring younger students, and performing with people of all abilities. She is really passionate about dance, and hopes to bring her knowledge about the arts to the table.
A resident of City Council District 8, Ms. Lucy Y. Binnert will fill a vacancy and serve as an At Large Representative on the Council; their first term will expire on May 1, 2027.
