JoPaul Valles, NP, is a highly accomplished nurse practitioner who brings extensive expertise and dedication to the healthcare field. He holds a Master of Science in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care from the University of South Alabama, as well as previous nursing degrees from Eastern New Mexico University and San Juan Community College. He is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, licensed in both Texas and New Mexico, and holds certifications including DEA Controlled Substance and DATA 2000 Waiver.

His professional career includes a wide range of critical care and emergency medical roles. He has provided essential care as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in multiple hospital settings, served as a Flight Nurse and Paramedic, and overseen air medical operations at UNM Hospital. His experience also includes managing critically ill patients at Lovelace Hospital and the Heart Hospital of New Mexico, and delivering life-saving care in high-pressure environments.

Dedicated to continuous growth in his profession, he is an active member of the New Mexico Nurse Practitioner Council, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurses Association, reflecting his commitment to excellence in patient care.

A resident of Council District 6, Mr. Jopaul Valles, will continue to serve as an EMT Ambulance Service Representative; his second term will expire August 15, 2027.
