I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Open
Space Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 14-13-3-7.

Melissa Pritzl, Albuquerque local, has been an educator for over a decade for Albuquerque Public Schools. She is a hiker, a cyclist, and all-around lover of the outdoors. She served on AmeriCorps NCCC (based off the Conservation Community Corps) where she did disaster relief, city park work, trail maintenance, and farm labor for a food bank. She has done a handful of other volunteer work outside of AmeriCorps, including hurricane damage repair in Puerto Rico, and trail maintenance in the West Coast. She cares about community and bringing people together through communal spaces, nature, and agriculture.

A resident of Council District 3, Ms. Pritzl will replace Mr. Donald Meaders, who has served two consecutive terms and is not eligible for reappointment, and will serve as an At-Large position on the Board. Her first term will expire September 1, 2027.
