I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Environmental Planning Commission in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance
14-13-3-1.

Matthew Archuleta has been serving our community for many years. He currently works at the Albuquerque Housing Authority as the Asset Management Division Manager. He has been involved in Real Estate since the late 80's both in property management and sales. Matthew has worked with all federal affordable housing programs both in a compliance level and supervisory level. Matthew served a term on the APS Board of Education and served on numerous citizen committees prior to his Board service. Matthew has been active in The Westgate Heights Neighborhood Association for over 25 years and is currently is President of WGNA. Matthew is a past member of the Police Oversight Commission, The Impact Fee Committee as well as other COA committees. He is currently involved in numerous committees at his church. Matthew knows the demographic setup of Albuquerque based on work on several redistricting efforts. He was born and raised in Albuquerque and will bring both a background in real estate as well as a strong historical knowledge of the city.
A resident of Council District 3, Mr. Archuleta will replace Mr. Joseph Cruz and serve as the Council District 3 representative on the Commission; His first term will expire on January 1, 2028.
