ORDINANCE title
Amending Chapter 2, Article 2, The Intergovernmental Relations Ordinance To Include New Language For Preparing The City's Federal And State Legislation (Pe?a)

AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 2, THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS ORDINANCE TO INCLUDE NEW LANGUAGE FOR PREPARING THE CITY'S FEDERAL AND STATE LEGISLATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque annually prepares resolutions for the New Mexico Congressional Delegation and the New Mexico State Legislature declaring the City's federal and state policy, programing and projects; and
WHEREAS, the City Council amended the Joint Intergovernmental and Legislative Relations Ordinance in 2022 and again in 2024 to improve the process by which policy and funding are established, and to set deadlines for adopting the policy resolutions that are in concert with the federal and state legislative schedules; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Intergovernmental and Legislative Relations Committee recognizes that Ordinance should allow for requests that represent the aspirations, goals and initiatives of the City of Albuquerque and those that represent the aspirations, goals and initiatives of the Mayor and individual City Councilors; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Intergovernmental and Legislative Relations Committee has determined additional improvements are required pertaining to creating definitions of the state and federal program and adopting such programs.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1. Delete section "? 2-2-2 DEFINITIONS." and insert a new section as follows:
