I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the

Human Rights Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 11-3-4-1 through

11-3-6.

Ms. Holly M. Herring                                                                               December 31, 2025  Albuquerque, NM 87111   Holly M. Herring is a Homeless Services provider, specializing in those with substance use disorders and behavioral health issues, as well as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Counselor. She holds an Associates Degree from MiraCosta College in Sociology. Holly has worked in coordination with law enforcement and social service agencies to provide services to individuals experiencing homelessness or who need homelessness prevention. She has been a Homeless Court Advocate and she has served on several task forces and committees addressing issues of homelessness. She is also a public speaker and educator who has spoken at numerous fundraisers and awareness events and is a very outspoken advocate for those who are underrepresented and experiencing systemic injustices. Holly actively promotes the inherent worth and dignity of all people and having meaningful engagement with those she serves is her passion and life's purpose.  A resident of Council District 8, Ms. Herring will fill a vacancy and serve as an At Large representative on the Board; her first term will expire December 31, 2025.
