I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for re-appointment to the
Metropolitan Parks & Recreation Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque
Ordinance 10-1-2-1.

Mr. Tony R. Johnson September 30, 2021 Albuquerque, NM 87121 Mr. Tony R Johnson is a Disabled Vietnam Era Veteran and a native New Mexican raised here in Albuquerque NM. He is involved in Veterans activities being part of the Veterans Adaptive Sports Committee, and represented New Mexico in The Veterans Golden Aged Games, Veterans Wheelchair Games. He is also very involved with Albuquerque Public Schools, and started a watchdog Mentoring Program 4 years ago at Wilson Middle School and he is a community organizer in the city’s International District. Mr. Johnson is also Chairman of the Deacons at Highland Baptist Church also in The International District. Mr. Johnson previously lived in District 6 and served the board as the District 6 representative. He now resides in Council District 3 and will serve in an At-Large position on this board. His second term will expire September 30, 2021. |
