Ms. Judith Goering September 2, 2022 11048 Academy Ridge Road NE Albuquerque, NM 87111-6869 Ms. Judy Goering received a BA in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Heidelberg University, Tiffin, Ohio. She has 48 graduate hours in the areas of Education. She taught Health and Physical Education grades 7-12, in Greece, NY and was varsity girls' soccer coach but her preference was teaching/coaching in the Jr. High. After several years teaching Judy entered the US Air Force and her first duty station was Kirtland AFB here in Albuquerque, as a personal officer and later in her Air Force career as executive officer to the base commander. She had the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally. Judy transitioned from active duty Air Force to Air Force Civil Service, GS 12 responsible for a variety of Air Force programs within the Morale, Welfare & Recreation as well as Services. Judy held various teaching, training, and leadership positions most recently at University of New Mexico as a Training & Development Consultant in Employee & Organizational Development section of the Division of Human Resources. Now retired, Judy is very active within her church and community. At church she is a worship leader, chair of the church worship team, on the minister's advisory team, sings in the choir, participates in and supports the churches Family Promise program. Through the churches social justice programs is an activist for immigration rights, NM Dreamers, and improving race relations. Within the community she is active with Mission Graduate, Women Veterans of New Mexico, and SAGE Albuquerque. A resident of Council District 8, Ms. Goering will fill a vacancy and serve as an At Large member of the Board. Her first term will expire September 2, 2022. |
