I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Youth
Advisory Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-7-1.

APPOINTEE NAME TERM Ms. Mireya A. Macias 5608 Cinder Cone Dr NW May 1, 2023 Albuquerque, NM 87123 Ms. Macias is a ninth grade student at the Albuquerque Academy and actively participates in numerous extracurricular programs. She currently serves as a Student Council Representative, member of the Community Service Club, and was a JV Mock trial team member. In addition, Ms. Macias participates on the Cross Country team, Track and Field team, and the basketball team. As a native New Mexican, she recognizes the importance of culture, community, and the ability for New Mexicans to sustain and thrive. As a member of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, she aspires to gain a leadership role on the council and be a strong voice for the youth of Albuquerque. A resident of Council District 1, Ms. Macias will fill an At Large vacancy on the board and her first term will expire May 1, 2023. |
