I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance
10-4-1-4.

Dr. Sherri Burr is an educator, author, artists, and civic activists As a professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law beginning in 1988, Dr. Burr taught Art Law, Art Law in Santa Fe, Entertainment Law, and Intellectual Property. She received tenure in 1994, and retired to become a full-time author in 2017. She is the author or co-author of 27 books, including books on Art Law. Burr's photographs have been selected for art exhibitions, and she has curated art exhibitions, most recently the "400 Years of Freedom, Restrictions, and Survival" in August 2019 at the African American Performing Arts Center. Burr currently serves as the President of New Mexico Press Women, and was a prior member of the Albuquerque Arts Board.

Dr. Burr will be filling an at large position, appointed by the Mayor. Her first term expires July 31, 2024.
