Setting The Official List Of City Council Meetings From January 2020 Through December 2020 (Peña)

SETTING THE OFFICIAL LIST OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS FROM JANUARY 2020 THROUGH DECEMBER 2020.
WHEREAS, Section 2-1-1 ROA 1994, specifies that, “As early as possible each calendar year, the President of the Council shall introduce a resolution specifying an official list of Regular City Council meetings for the year; the adopted list should omit dates which are holidays or on which it appears unlikely that a quorum will be available; the adopted list may schedule dates for regular meetings other than first and third Mondays, whether to replace regular meeting dates which will not be used or as otherwise seems appropriate to meet the needs of the Council. At other times when it becomes evident that the adopted list of regular meetings should be amended, this may be done by resolution; such action should be taken as soon as it becomes clear that a change is appropriate.”; and
WHEREAS, Article 1, Section 1 of the Council’s Rules of Procedure contains parallel provisions; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. R-18-67, Enactment Number R-2018-061, set the dates for Council meetings through December 2019; and
WHEREAS, with the end of the calendar year approaching there is a need to schedule the 2020 Council meeting dates.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
The official list of City Council meeting dates from January 2020 through December 2020 are as follows:
January 6 and 22;
February 3 and 19;
March 2 and 16;
April 6 and 20;
May 4, 18 and 27;
June 1 and 15;
August 3 and 17;
September 9 and 21;
October 5 and 19;
November 2 and 16;
December 7 and 21.
