Mayor's Appointment of Mr. Thomas Walmsley to the Veterans and Military Affairs Advisory Board

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Veterans and Military Affairs Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque
Resolution R-01-325, Enactment No. R-2001-141.

During his nine years in the Army National Guard, Mr. Walmsley served as an Infantry Team Leader and was responsible for leading soldiers in combat operations as well as assisting civil authorities during periods of civil unrest. Since he was honorably discharged, he has been active in the veterans community for the past two years, primarily with Team Rubicon, a Veteran led disaster response volunteer organization.
A resident of District 2, Mr. Walmsley will replace Mr. Archie C Garcia as an At Large member of the Board and his first term will expire September 2, 2022.
