Mrs. Kathy Foster is the Program Specialist supporting the ASCEND Hub (Accelerating Solutions for Commercialization & Entrepreneurial Development) at the University of the New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC). Collaborating with 11 academic institutions, she works to boost commercialization and technologies in the field of bioscience. With a BA in English and journalism minor, she has worked in marketing and communications for most of her career with positions ranging from Development Officer for the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to Community Relations Specialist for UNM Hospitals to News and Traffic Reporter at various radio stations. She is applying to the Transit Authority Board because she rides the bus to and from her office at the UNM HSC. Throughout her career, she has leveraged her talents in communication and collaborating to create solutions and compromises. She also has experience in administrative duties, communications production, and project planning.

A resident of Council District 9, Mrs. Foster will serve as an At-Large member of the Board, replacing Mrs. Nancy E JonesFrancis whose term has expired. Her first term will expire September 30, 2022.
