I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Airport
Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 7-1-2-1.

Mrs. Joy I Garratt is an instructional coach at Painted Sky ES, APS, and the wife of a high school teacher. She understands that airports offer great educational opportunities and future careers for our youth, and has spent time learning about Double Eagle II airport, which is near her home in Ventana Ranch. In attending meetings about the airport's development, and the kinds of development associated with other local NM airports, she recognizes that we have a gem here. As someone who has lived and worked on both coasts and in South Korea, Ms. Garratt takes great pride in our own Sunport. This awareness of education, tourism attractiveness, careers and future development of both airports leads her to apply for this position.
A resident of Council District 5, Ms. Garratt will serve as an At-Large member of the Board, replacing Mr. Orlando F. Esparza, whose term has expired. Her first term will expire on January 1, 2021.
