RELATING TO CAPITAL PROJECTS; MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE TAX FUND (340).
WHEREAS, the Transportation Infrastructure Tax was passed by Albuquerque voters in 1999, and became effective January 1, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Infrastructure Tax was intended to provide funding primarily for transit, basic road rehabilitation, maintenance, and deficiencies; and
WHEREAS, since the inception of the Transportation Infrastructure Tax, large excess balances have accumulated which could be used to provide transportation improvements City-wide as well as provide an economic stimulus to the local economy; and
WHEREAS, the appropriation of this Transportation Infrastructure Tax to projects within their respective purposes are timely and necessary for the City to serve its citizens.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1.  That the appropriations listed below are hereby made as indicated.
